** Description changed:

A white noise can be heared from both line-out (the red and white plugs)
  and the phones exit.

The white noise started only some time ago (less than half a year) but I
can not remember when exactly it was and whether it was after an update
  or not.

  Muting removes the white noise.

  Additionaly:
- - When the bolume is at ~9% in the sound dialog, I can not anything and the
alsa mixer shous 0% at the master. But it does not do down gradualy, at 10% I
can hear 10% and then at 9% the sound is abruply gone.
