More info I fresh installed my l322x with 64bit raring in BIOS mode and then made some customisations. Later I found hibernation/thaw was weird. Later I removed the noatime options from fstab and found hibernation/thaw worked finer. I had added the noatime options myself (this is not default) Maybe hibernation/thaw requires access time to files are available and accurate... just a "maybe"
