** Description changed: python-bsdiff used to be packaged by Debian, but was dropped in 2011: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=613707 In testing migrating from 10.04 LTS to 12.04 LTS, this package disappeared. I was hoping it could get added back for 12.04. + + While the upstream provides binaries up to 2.4 (Fedora) and 2.5 (Windows) the code worked fine when Debian packaged it for 2.6, and I've tested it against 2.7. + When built against Python 3.2 the module fails to load with an undefined symbol error (PyString_FromStringAndSize is the relevant symbol).
