Hi Christopher, perhaps you mean " sudo hdparm -Z /dev/sdb1", result:
/dev/sdb1:
disabling Seagate auto powersaving mode
HDIO_DRIVE_CMD(seagatepwrsave) failed: Invalid argument
Afterthat I did testing & experienced same result as before.
