Hi,
the subtitles appear even when preferences->subtitles "Automatically
show subtitles when playing movie file" is unchecked. When right-
clicking->Subtitles, "none" is indeed selected but the subtitles are
still played. Have to re-enable them, then de-enable them to have no
subtitles appearing. Tested on mkv file, Xubuntu 13.04, Parole 0.5.2 .
