While I think this feature was useful as well it was a design decision
to only work on the focused app for now. There are a bunch of ideas on
how to return this functionality, but they're not complete yet, so I'm
closing this bug as it's not an engineering bug. When a design is
complete, we'll add a work item in a blueprint to add the feature.
