The bug happens in both legacy and UEFI modes (comment #1). If and when I have enough time to figure out how to make a bootable DOS image that also fits the BIOS on it, I will be able to try upgrading :P Although putting a new harddisk in and installing Windows just to get the BIOS installed might actually be faster.
