I'm also affected by this bug: 
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1041790 
and the work around does not work for me. This only happens when I'm playing 
games (entire screen locks up)

I use 2 monitors, too.
