Retested on 13.10 beta, problem stil exists. On a side note... this app got even worse in 13.10, after formatting it with partition magic I can't use it to write a iso to any stick I have. This app has not been working for several ubuntu releases now. If its not important enough to have, than remove it from the distro.
My suggestion is to remove this app and have unetbootin by default. With an on time only code change unetbooting can be as easy.
