Hello again, This problem is solved compiling latest kernel from kernel.org (2.6.23rc2 today) and enabling in its configuration the new experimental firewire stack under "drivers"--> "firewire 1394". This kernel gives you the chance to choose between this stack and the old, you can't enable both. The new module is called "firewire_core", and is necesary to enable also the new spb2 and the other (i don't remember now its name...). In the latest Ubuntu kernel (2.6.22-9) this option is not enabled, please update it for next kernel!. If you use a configuration file (.config) the option is "CONFIG_FIREWIRE=y".
Thanks, Alberto. :) -- firewire hard disk only detected at boot process https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107322 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
