Public bug reported:
LIBVIRT_DEFAULT_URI should set the connect URI for virsh and other
libvirt clients, according to http://libvirt.org/uri.html, but it
doesn't.
What I get:
# export LIBVIRT_DEFAULT_URI=lxc:///
# virsh uri
qemu:///system
What I expect:
# export LIBVIRT_DEFAULT_URI=lxc:///
# virsh uri
lxc:///
Reproducible on 12.04.1 and 12.04.3 with the following libvirt versions
(depending whether cloud repo enabled or not):
0.9.8-2ubuntu17.13
0.9.13-0ubuntu12
1.0.2-0ubuntu11.13.04.2~cloud
VIRSH_DEFAULT_CONNECT_URI=lxc:/// does work for virsh, but not for
other libvirt clients, so isn't a usable workaround. (and is
deprecated)
