I am sorry to hear that you were having problems with your wifi set up. But it
sounds to me like it might be more a problem of configuration than a bug.
Therefore I am converting the bug to a question and hoping that someone may be
able to help you with out with an answer.
Are you still not able to connect your Ubuntu machine by wifi?
Perhaps you could start by explaining all you can about what brand of computer
you have, what type/brand of wifi card/USB dongle you have, the brand of
broadband box and brand of router, and how they are all connected together.

Title:
internet connection not detected by system, though working. Laptop and
phone unable to connect to wifi unless main pc (Ubuntu 11.04) switched
