Public bug reported:
In Ubuntu 13.10, after the upgrade from 13.04 as well as in a new installation,
Ibus does not show in the system tray and by searching Ibus in the Ubuntu dash,
nothing is found.
It is just possible to open the Ibus settings by executing "ibus-setup".
