Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gimp

On the old gimp versions, when I copy a selection of an image to the clipboard,
and then choose to create a new image, the dimensions for that new image are
the same as the pixels i've copied to the clipboard.
For example: when I copy a 40x40 image to the clipboard, and then choose new,
the width and height are both set to 40.
But on gimp 2.3 that no longer works, and I find that really annoying, because
I use that feature daily.
I hope you can fix this.

** Affects: gimp (Ubuntu)
