@Edwin Yes, seems likely. Since it works both for you and Colin, it is probably a new bug. Also, now that i have had more time to explore, the problem on my system is a bit different than what is described in this bug report. Visual effects are sluggish but not to as slow as described in this report. I will have to do a clean install and keep my fingers crossed.
