Public bug reported:

After upgrading from 13.04 to 13.10 (beta), system-devices-panel* icons are 
missing from the icon themes.  This has the effect that indicator-session icon 
is displayed as default icon for missing image which is terribly annoying. The 
used icon names are defined in indicator-session's service.c panel.
As a temporary fix I switched to using a different icon theme that contains the 
above mentioned icons, such as Faenza, ubuntu-mono-dark or ubuntu-mono-light.
