Public bug reported: On my Headless Computer, x11vnc is running.
Yesterday, I updated this computer from 12.04 LTS to 12.10, 13.04 and finally to 13.10. Now, when starting a vnc session, all I get is the desktop BACKGROUND PICTURE. No Menus, no Icons, NOTHING. If I attach a monitor to the headless machine and log in with it turned on, I receive a normal Desktop Layout. After a reboot and with the monitor un-attached, again, I don't get any target for my mouse. No right-click menu. Nothing at all. ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1242289 Title: On Headless Machine, no Desktop visible via vnc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1242289/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
