I resolved the problem by editing the keyfile plugin
/etc/NetworkManager/NetworkManager.conf by appending
[connection]
id=Auto eth0
uuid=<-----------------------your connection uuidd, find it with the command $
nmcli -p c list
type=802-3-ethernet
autoconnect=true
timestamp=0
[ipv4]
method=auto
[802-3-ethernet]
mac-address=<---------your router mac address
