Public bug reported: Binary package hint: linux-source-2.6.22
Hardware: Apple MacBook 2007: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LaptopTestingTeam/AppleMacBook2007 Background: My wifi dies every few hours because of http://madwifi.org/ticket/1017. The workaround used to be to suspend & resume. Bug 129226, made things a little worse, but at least suspend & resume normally worked. Now, since the most recent kernel update (2.6.22-9.25), *something* has stopped suspend & resume or hibernate from working. I can suspend fine, but on resume, screen backlight doesn't turn on, and the machine isn't pingable. After a while the fan comes on. I assume it's paniced. Hibernating switches to text mode, showing me a blinking cursor, and nothing more happens. Again, the fan comes on, and the machine isn't pingable, I assume panic. I don't know if this could be caused by bug 129226, but to me it seems a separate bug. ** Affects: linux-source-2.6.22 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- [gutsy] Neither suspend or hibernate work on Apple MacBook 2007 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/131840 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
