Public bug reported:
Start the live or alternative installation for Gusty Gibbon (7.10) for
any variety of Ubuntu. The hard drive will not be recognized and the
install program will stop with a 'can't find tty' error if the AHCI SATA
option is selected in the BIOS. In Feisty Fawn (7.04) the nVidia SATA
driver shows as AHCI controller. If I install the same Ubuntu with the
non-RAID SATA contoller selected in the BIOS then Gusty Gibbon will
install. The SATA controller is listed as nVidia SATA. The motherboard
is an ASROCK (value brand of ASUS) ALiveNF5-eSATA2+ with the NVIDIA
nForce 520 chipset.
