Tried Joseph's suggestion. Still receive the error. Ongoing for over a month now. Have flushed the temporaries as well to no avail. I get notification "New version of Kubuntu available. Run updater, get error, advised to restart. Restart, get adivsed of new version of Kubuntu, and reiterate.
