Public bug reported: Binary package hint: apt
More info here http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3176895#post3176895 I've tried nabbing packages using sudo apt-get -d install foo but all it gett is an error output: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get -d install ubuntu-desktop Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done ubuntu-desktop is already the newest version. 0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. It will download packages I DO NOT have installed, but when the package is one I DO have installed I get the above error as if I was planning to install it too (which I am not). Why doesn't the -d tag make apt-get download the file whether it is installed or not? ** Affects: apt (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- 'sudo apt-get -d install' command broken? https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/132006 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
