In a further attempt to try to flush out what the issue is, run "pidgin
-mddddddddddddm" and attach the output, paying attention particularly to
any areas where "LIBDBUSMENU-GLIB-WARNING **: Trying to remove a child
that doesn't believe we're it's parent." or any other GLib related
messages come up. There have been some issues with GLib spawning zombies
in pidgin in 13.10.
