I think I can confirm this bug. I had an attacker try an ssh dictionary attack, so I blocked ssh traffic from his network. Iptables confirms that the subnet has been blocked and netstat and ps confirm that there are no connections from that address. To be extra sure, I attached a clean computer to the hub my workstation was on and ran wireshark for several hours, with not one single packet traveling between my workstation and the offending subnet.
Nevertheless, the firestarter GUI still shows that as an active connection. I have restarted both networking and firestarter to no avail. The only thing I have not done is reboot the computer. Anyone know where the firestarter GUI gets its active connections from? -- Closed connections shown in "Active connections" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/112334 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
