Christopher, I am ready to report this bug upstream. I have read the
process described in your link carefully but I still have one
uncertainty arising from my general ignorance of these matters; would
you please be so kind as to provide some advice?

The instructions provided in your link suggest that I am "to find the
maintainer of the driver for the bug from the MAINTAINERS list".

I am not sure that this is a driver bug, nor am I sure in which module
it occurs.

Therefore, I am considering following the advice given on
https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/docs/lkml/reporting-bugs.html which
states

"If you are totally stumped as to whom to send the report, send it to
[email protected]. (For more information on the linux-kernel
mailing list see http://www.tux.org/lkml/)".

Does this seem correct to you?

Thanks in advance.
