Thank of reporting this -- it looks like the fix for the Precise kernels
is actually missing.

I've uploaded a test kernel containing the fix (I've uploaded only a
-pae kernel since this seems to be what Damien is using, but I can
upload others if required).  Basically this is a 3.2.0-56.86 kernel with
a backport of commit:

  75c7caf zram: allow request end to coincide with disksize
