Julian Wiedmann, getting to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1006765/comments/51 , correct me if I'm wrong here, but it seems the commit you documented wouldn't apply to this report, as it addresses a corner case when acpiphp is builtin statically, and a user wants the disable acpiphp, but cannot due to this static build in. The original reporter wouldn't want to disable acpiphp, as disabling it wouldn't appear to help this issue.
Roland, could you please undo any WORKAROUNDs and test the latest mainline kernel via http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel- ppa/mainline/v3.12-rc7-saucy/ and advise to the results? ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1006765 Title: 1033:0194 Hot plugging USB3.0 express card Not possible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1006765/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
