ps. on 13.10 the same problem exists with the preinstalled libreoffice (without ppa) ps2. (just tested): Same edition of libreoffice (from ppa) works fine on Ubuntu 12.04 32bit (12.04.0? uname -r: 3.2.0-55-generic)
