Public bug reported:
I have a desktop (calculon) and a laptop (bender) both running 13.10.
I noticed the bug when the changes I made in my spreadsheet on
"calculon" weren't carrying over to "bender". I went onto the U1
website and they were being uploaded no problem, no ".u1conflict". So I
tried it in reverse, deleted and restored the files, in different
combinations to try to break the cycle, to see if the change would go
over and nothing. The changes still won't register on my other
computers. I am sure that its because they won't download properly.
EVEN THOUGH i am getting notifications that they are uploading and
downloading. So, I started downloading them directly from the website
to get them and here is the interesting part: I save downloads to their
proper places and and they turn into ".u1conflict" files. The original
files won't show up or are ghost files, that I cannot loacte even after
I download them directly turning them into conflict files. (I am still
trying to wrap my head around it)
I started tracking this using `tail -f
~/.cache/ubuntuone/log/syncdaemon.log` and this is what I got

My skewed understanding of linux code is telling me that this is
uploading the file properly, but as they are downloading they are being
marked as conflict files. I need help understanding the code of what is
going on here and why it is not properly saving the files.
Bottom line, files upload correctly, but something happens keeping my
u1files downloading correctly.
