Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: network-manager-pptp

1. If you try to connect to a PPTP server you will be asked to enter
your username and password. But the plugin cannot connect. Instead you
get a message that it cannot connect due to an authentication error.

2. But if you look in the gnome-keyring the wrong username is saved.
Instead of the username for the connection you will find your own local
username. I think the wrong username is submitted by nm-pptp-auth-
dialog.

3. An analysis with wireshark showed up nothing, what means that the
there is an attemp to resolve the hostname but no connection attemp

4. If you try to create a new connection you have to type in an MS CHAP
v1/v2 username, why?
