Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-panel
gnome-panel 2.19.5-0ubuntu5 in gutsy/7.10 moves when I log out and log back in. Sometimes the top moves to the bottom, and sometimes the bottom moves to the top. Both of my panels are *not* expanded, and the only way to move them back is to expand them, move them, then unexpand them. Making ~/.gconf/apps/panel/toplevels/<panel>/%gconf.xml read only and owned by root does *not* prevent the problem. I've tried erasing all of the gnome config files in ~ and the issue still exist. Since it doesn't seem to be a common problem, I think perhaps it only happens with unexpanded panels.
