As you may have noticed in

, one would not want to presume what a BIOS update will or won't change,
as they are a black box generally not tested to linux, and specifically
Ubuntu. As well, hardware maintainers have already made clear bugs
reported with outdated and/or buggy BIOS would need to be updated first
before considered valid.
