** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu)
   Importance: Medium => Low

** Description changed:

- I have a lenovo g700-notebook. i installed ubuntu 13.10. on monday. It was
very tricky. On startup with Ubuntu-Install-USB-Stick after aprox. 30 secs.
the screen got dark. I didn't know whats going on. so i tried starting several
times. At least i mentioned that the brightness was at minimum (screen dark),
but with the 'brightness+' (F12) i could see the screen. This behavior still
remains, but now i know waht to do. Other users may have problems with this
behavior. The brightness-key allows to darken the screen absolutely, so you
dont see what happens. At least i'd like to save the screen-brightness, but i'm
unable to do this. On startup the brightness is always on 'dark'-mode and i
have to brighten up the screen.
