Here's another D-Bus system bus monitoring log. I followed the
instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingDBus#How_to_monitor_the_system_bus (see
also: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/systemd-
shim/+bug/1184262/comments/116)

After suspending and resuming networking was not working. I had to
execute 'sudo nmcli nm sleep false' in order to get the networking
working again.

The only fix I have applied up to now is the one I found at
http://www.webupd8.org/2013/01/fix-wireless-or-wired-network-not.html

Aside: It seems that when I run 'nmcli nm sleep false' as a non-sudo
user, the networking starts working again, but afterwards I am unable to
suspend/restart/shutdown from the session menu.
