Hi Christopher, Managed to test Maverick, "uname_-a" returns: 2.6.35-22-generic, (earliest I go back with Ubuntu and Linux.)
Bluetooth pairs and connects okay, sound output was achieved following selection of the paired device in "System Settings/ Sound" under Output and Hardware tabs. Plugging in the chord to the speaker only, cuts sound output via bluetooth. Removal of the chord from the speaker instantly returns playback via bluetooth, suggesting bluetooth connectivity is maintained. Will try and obtain info from speaker manufacturer tomorrow.
