I neglected to mention and thought it was probably pretty important: I walked through the installation process (automatic, because I am a newer Linux user) on my new 13.01 install of Unbuntu and this printer install for the Canon PixmaMX880 worked flawlessly.
Later the same day when I walked through the exact same process on my older install of 12.04 Ubuntu (it's probably 6 months old) it failed with the above error "no trusted origin". I am unsure whether the age of the Ubuntu installation or the version of the Ubuntu installation is more impactful, or both. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1009276 Title: auto driver downloader fails on epson px-5600 (precise pangolin) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/epson-inkjet-printer-escpr/+bug/1009276/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
