Public bug reported: Lenovo U410 - Windows 8.1 pre-installed, i3 proccesor, 8GB RAM, 500GB HDD with 210 GB free for Ubuntu install.
Using Live USB drive to install, 13.04 sees the Windows partitions, (but doesn't mount them). The installer sees the Windows 8.1 installation and asks whether I want to install side by side or replace Windows. 13.10 run from a live USB however, sees the Windows partitions and can mount them, but the installer doesn't see the Windows OS at all - it just says "No OS found". ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Attachment added: "13.10 installer" https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1249564/+attachment/3903736/+files/1310%20install.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1249564 Title: 13.10 installer doesn't see pre-installed Windows 8.1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1249564/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
