I was disappointed to find that on both 13.04 and 13.10 that Sound Recorder is still broken. It looks like we don't have a maintainer. Audacity does work so at least we have a work around. My Grandson uses Sound Recorder to practice his Saxaphone and it is used for other purposes as well by me. It is still downloadable via the Software Center so I would make a plea for some kind person who knows how to debug and fix this simple and easy to use application.
