You have been subscribed to a public bug:
When logging into Ubuntu 13.10, while typing my password, the password-
input-field resets itself blank about midway though typing my password,
and I have to type my whole password again.
In previous versions, you couldn't type your password too soon, and it
would not lose a keystroke; as soon as the greeter appeared you could
quickly type your password and be certain you'd be logged in.
Now, if you type your password too soon, you'll end up having to type it
twice. Because it will receive about 3 characters, reset itself blank,
and ultimately contain only a portion of you password instead of the
complete password.
** Affects: unity-greeter (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
