You have been subscribed to a public bug:

lightdm hides users where a second user exists with the same userid (but
different name and login shell), even if the second user has an invalid
shell (/bin/false).

Such a situation typically happens if you create a secondary user for
sftp login etc. with your uid so he can access your files through sftp.

For gdm this works fine.

Also, there is no "Other user" option in lightdm to manually workaround
this issue.
