Public bug reported:

Upon booting kubuntu, if I press Ctrl-Alt-F1 during the boot sequence, I
see the following text output. I don't know if it affects ubuntu as well
as I don't have that installed.

Here's what it looks like (typed in manually; I've not used gpm to cut
and paste text in terminals for around a decade!)

kinit: name_todev_t(/dev/disk/by-uuid/XXXXX) = sda5(8,5)
kinit: trying to resume from /dev/disk/by-uuid/XXXXX
kinit: No resume image, doing normal boot
Segmentation fault
Segmentation fault
Segmentation fault

Ubuntu gutsy (development branch) xxxxxx tty1

xxxxxx login:

The "XXXXX" disk id is the same id in both cases.

This doesn't appear to affect anything that I can tell: the machine
subsequently boots up seemingly normally, but it wouldn't look very good
for the final release to have these messages.

** Affects: Ubuntu
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
