Public bug reported: Binary package hint: language-selector-qt
I'm using Ubuntu Dapper. I wanted to install kubuntu-desktop in order to get both GNOME and KDE installed. *** Steps to repeat: 1- $ sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop or, better: 2- $ sudo apt-get install language-selector-qt What happens: 1- (in the first case:) The following packages have unmet dependencies. kubuntu-desktop: Depends: language-selector-qt but it is not going to be installed E: Broken packages 2- (in the second case:) The following packages have unmet dependencies. language-selector-qt: Depends: language-selector-common (= 0.1.20) but 0.1.20.1 is to be installed E: Broken packages *** Actually, I've on my system the updated versions (0.1.20.1) of the language-selector and language-selector-common packages, while the language-selector-qt package seems to strictly depend to the old versions of those packages. In addition, I've tried to re-install the two packages above, but this is the error message I got: Reinstallation of language-selector is not possible, it cannot be downloaded. Reinstallation of language-selector-common is not possible, it cannot be downloaded. *** I've got the common Italian /etc/apt/sources.list file, with the universe and multiverse repositories enabled An U.S. user seems to have the same problem too: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=235377 ** Affects: language-selector (Ubuntu) Importance: Untriaged Status: Unconfirmed -- Unable to install language-selector-qt (and kubuntu-desktop as well) https://launchpad.net/bugs/59369 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
