Public bug reported:
The keyboard functions perfectly in the Grub menu (language selection
and boot option selection). As soon as a boot option is selected, the
numlock light goes out and the keyboard completely ceases to function.
Installation cannot be progressed because keyboard input it required
from the debian-installer language selection screen and onwards.
The same keyboard/computer combination works perfectly with an Ubuntu
desktop installation which is curently configure on the machine.
