Sorry for the delay, i'm on holidays.... I was having problems with thunderbird, but that was because I installed the 2.x version from mozilla.... it worked for some hours, then I was not even able to start even in safe mode. I removed and reinstalled the original ubuntu 1.5 version. Now it works, I'm using it right now.
In the process.... firefox seems more stable, now. By the way, I'm sending you the last crash report I found on /var/crash. I read about the backtrace and did it... it works, at least it does a gdb.log file, that I can read. I'll attach that here, but I'm not sure it's the right thing to do. Here it is...
