I can confirm this, freaking annoying. The best workaround is to use "network connections" which is part of network-manager i think, its already installed and all. Gives you the full list of interfaces, including ethernet, dsl, etc. Thanks to devs for all the hard work already. If you guys do have some time, would appreciate if you took a look at this bug.
