Sorry for the late reply. If I set "muhenkan"key only to cycle forward to next keyboard layout it will not change the layout (according to the icon) and the keyboard layout stays the same. If I set "muhenkan" + shift key to cycle forward it will change both the icon and the keyboard layout.
I have tried to set up "muhenkan" to cycle forward and "muhenkan" + shift to cycle backward and it will only work backward. If I immediately reverse the setting to "muhenkan" + shift to cycle forward and "muhenkan" only to backward, then only forward will work. I have not tried any other combination yet.
