Actually, new development. Your description, Jeremy, said that libsbuf- dev was built by freebsd-utils, but it was actually built by freebsd- libs, so I updated it to reflect that. I just did a test build of freebsd-libs (which hasn't been in Ubuntu since Lucid), and I got an FTBFS, but that was fixed by adding a build dependency on m4. It then built successfully. I just filed Bug 1251807 to unblacklist freebsd- libs, and I think that's a better option than removing this and other packages.
