Public bug reported:

It would be great if several versions of boost headers could be
installed at a time at separate directories. For example:

/usr/include/boost-1.53/boost : headers for boost 1.53, provided by the
*1.53-dev packages
/usr/include/boost-1.54/boost : headers for boost 1.54, provided by the
*1.54-dev packages
...
/usr/include/boost : a symlink to either of the above directories, provided by
a new package ('boost-default' or something like that)

** Affects: boost (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
