Public bug reported:
in Edgy this webcam works fine with pre-compiled driver spca5xx.
It works also well with compiled from sources of spca5xx and even gspca.
In feisty (installed or livecd) and gutsy (only tested on livecd tribe 2 and 3)
the webcam is also recognized as PAC207 but with gspca driver.
Even when re-compile from source, webcam does not work.
I've done all my testing with xawtv: after a few pictures comming
slowly, the driver gets stuck and xawtv freezes with some messages
saying communication pb with driver.
may be a bug in v4l too ?
Can anybody help ?
