Sorry the prototype is currently in a private repo. But you can see the idea from the following video. This is done by Martin. It's not the final version but still gives you and idea how right edge swipe should work in the future on phone. So short swipe gives you back in app stack. Long one gives first back and finally takes user to application spread/slinky card view.

The Right swipe to cycle through active apps is innovative however it becomes an inefficient method of switching apps once there are more than 3 active apps. The solution is already present in the form of the Music and Video selection UI. Once there are more than 3 apps the view should present a Scrolling Left Right view of apps just like the music or video browser. This bug also applies to the Application Panel that displays a series of active approach tiles. This also should be a Left Right Scrolling browse selection view. + Once again I not sure where to place this bug apologies if wrong + project - Once again I not sure where to place this bug apologies if wrong project + ---------------- + Desired solution + ---------------- + Something like shown in this video: + https://drive.google.com/a/canonical.com/?tab=mo#folders/0B7USXQavQlqtVUZTcnlOX202ZVU + + More detailed description will be provided in a separate + document/prototype. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1228733 Title: Right swipe application switcher is inefficient To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-ux/+bug/1228733/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
